$15,000 in 15 Days: What The BOLO Project is doing to Empower the Next Generation

One community. One mission. Twice the impact.

What if a single donation could help a teenager discover greater confidence, develop resilience, and begin to see a future filled with possibility?

At The BOLO Project, that's the future we're working to create, one teen at a time.

And thanks to an extraordinary matching gift opportunity, our community has the chance to make an even greater difference.

Through our $15,000 in 15 Days fundraising campaign, we're working to raise $15,000 to support our mission of empowering teens through mentorship, personal development, and the transformative power of the dog-human bond.

Every eligible new donation will be matched dollar for dollar by the Larry and Helen Hoag Foundation, up to $15,000. That means together, we have the opportunity to turn $15,000 into $30,000 in support for the next generation.

Why Supporting Teen Confidence and Resilience Matters

Adolescence is a time of incredible growth, but it can also be filled with uncertainty.

Between academic expectations, social pressures, changing relationships, and questions about identity and belonging, today's teens are navigating a complex world.

They need more than encouragement. They need opportunities to develop the confidence to trust themselves, the resilience to navigate setbacks, and the skills to make thoughtful decisions about their futures.

That's where The BOLO Project comes in. Our programs create an engaging, supportive environment where teens can explore personal growth, strengthen leadership skills, and discover what they're capable of achieving. We believe that when young people are given the right tools, meaningful mentorship, and opportunities to succeed, they can begin building a foundation for a fulfilling, purpose-driven life.

What Makes The BOLO Project Different?

The BOLO Project is a teen empowerment nonprofit that uses the dog-human bond to help young people develop confidence, resilience, leadership, and essential life skills.

Dogs play a meaningful role in our approach.

Through interactive experiences, guided reflection, mentorship, and lessons inspired by the qualities we admire in dogs, teens explore concepts such as trust, communication, determination, adaptability, and connection.

Our programs encourage teens to:

  • Build confidence: Develop greater self-awareness, recognize personal strengths, and become more comfortable expressing themselves.

  • Strengthen resilience: Learn to navigate challenges, manage setbacks, and approach new experiences with a growth mindset.

  • Develop leadership skills: Practice communication, accountability, problem-solving, and thoughtful decision-making.

  • Discover purpose: Explore personal goals, identify what matters to them, and recognize their ability to make a difference.

  • Create meaningful connections: Experience the value of positive relationships, mutual respect, and community.

At its heart, The BOLO Project is about helping teens recognize their potential and giving them practical tools to pursue it.

Your Donation Can Make Twice the Difference

We're grateful to announce that the Larry and Helen Hoag Foundation is matching eligible new donations to The BOLO Project dollar for dollar, up to $15,000, through October 15, 2026.

Every contribution brings us closer to unlocking the full matching gift and expanding our ability to support teens through meaningful personal development experiences.

The funds raised will help advance The BOLO Project's mission, supporting mentorship, educational programming, and opportunities for teens to build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Our Community Is Already Making an Impact

Since launching this campaign, our community has shown us what happens when people come together around a shared purpose. We've already raised more than $4,000, and every contribution represents someone who believes in the potential of the next generation.

The words of our supporters have been just as meaningful as their generosity.

"We love the BOLO project and all that it represents and helps teens grow in amazing ways!"— Sasha & Paget

"I hope my donation will help more young people to experience growth through BOLO."— Sonia

"Continued success, you are making such an impact!"— Sherry

These messages remind us that The BOLO Project is about more than the programs we provide. It's about a community of people who believe that every teen deserves the opportunity to grow, discover their strengths, and pursue a meaningful future. To everyone who has donated, shared our campaign, or encouraged our mission, thank you.

Your support matters.
